| Position Requirements: |
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN licensure in WV.At least 5 years clinical experience. Require a solid understanding of Interqual criteria, CMS/JCAHO standards and requirements. Require a working knowledge of and previous experience in Case Management with knowledge of DRG payment system, hospital finance and managed care issues. Require a working knowledge of current documentation requirements relating to MSDRGs and POA criteria established by CMS.Interpersonal skills to obtain and interpret information appropriate to patients’ needs and age as required for assessment range of treatment, and patient care.Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external customers. Computer skills including Microsoft word, spread sheets, email and use of current utilization review/case management internet review systems (Navinet, etc.) |
| Experience: |
EXPERIENCE Skill in assessing, planning and managing patient care as acquired through five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital. Minimum of 2 years case management experience required. Certification in Case Management preferred. Three years supervisor experience required. |
